Urban River Rehabilitation: Case Study in Chindwin River

This course presents an overview of the river system. It includes the basic concepts of urban river rehabilitation and the knowledge of techniques. The investigation will also be carried out and water quality will be analyzed. After that, the urban river rehabilitation techniques are described and suggested best practices with regard to improve water quality. The course will document the urbanization impacts on the quality of river health and also introduce urban river rehabilitation techniques.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completion of this course, students will be able to:

• understand the overview of river system and the concept of urban river rehabilitation;
• inform about river water quality assessment of the study area and various rehabilitation measures in the urban area.

ABOUT INSTRUCTOR

The expert got the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Civil Water Resources), at Mandalay Technological University in 2019. The expert has 15 years of teaching experience in Engineering subjects, especially water resources engineering. The expert is also experienced in research as well as Environmental Management planning.
