Asia Water Academy is an online water, environment and climate education platform for professionals in Asia who seek to improve their skills and knowledge through interdisciplinary and practice-oriented courses.
WHY ASIA WATER ACADEMY?
Across the Asia region, millions of professionals from government, private sector and academia are working to address the region’s many critical water, environment and climate challenges. But sometimes, there seems to be a gap for the up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge to solve these issues. Asia Water Academy fills this gap by offering online courses on interdisciplinary and practice-oriented topics. Many courses are self-paced and offered for free or at a small fee to be accessible and affordable for everyone.

KEY FUNCTIONS OF ASIA WATER ACADEMY
Asia Water Academy provides online courses for (young) professionals and everyone who wants to improve skills and knowledge on water, environment, and climate change. The courses offer a broad range of video lectures provided by a variety of international and local water experts from Myanmar. It includes not only knowledge-based courses (from academic lecturers), but also courses on practical skills (e.g. data analysis, field measurements) based on practical applications of knowledge and skills in actual climate adaptation projects across Asia. All courses can be followed by participants independently (self-paced) and program certificates can be obtained by completing the tests and assignments. ​
The discussion groups allow the users join the community related to the online courses. It acts as a bridge by providing the opportunity to share information and build connections with the professionals and people with similar interests, so that improving the communication and co-creation within communities.
